The Clip Farm · Last updated August 5, 2026

The Clip Farm is a desktop analytics tool for short-form video clip campaigns. It is installed and run by an operator — a clip-campaign manager — on their own computer. This policy explains what it accesses, why, and how it is stored.

Who this covers

Two groups: the operator who runs The Clip Farm, and creators who choose to connect their own social accounts so their posts can be measured and paid for.

What we access

Only after you explicitly authorise it through the platform's own login screen, and only read-only:

  • Profile information — your account ID, username and display name, profile picture, and public counts such as followers, following, total likes and number of posts.
  • Your posts — for each post: its ID, caption, thumbnail, link, creation time, duration, and public performance counts including views, likes, comments, shares, and where the platform provides them, saves and reach.

We never request permission to post, edit, delete, message, or read anything private. We do not collect your password — authentication happens entirely on the platform's own site.

Why we use it

  • To show performance analytics for connected accounts.
  • To determine which posts qualify for a campaign and calculate what a creator has earned under that campaign's agreed rules.
  • To record dated snapshots of public counts so growth and campaign-period performance can be measured over time. Platforms return only current numbers, so this history exists solely because it is saved locally at each refresh.

Where it is stored

All data is stored locally on the operator's own computer, inside the application's private data folder. Access tokens and credentials are encrypted at rest using the operating system's secure storage. There is no Clip Farm server, no central database, and no analytics or tracking service embedded in the application.

The invite relay

To let a creator connect from their own device, The Clip Farm uses a small relay service, which is this website. When a creator finishes authorising, the relay briefly holds the platform's one-time authorisation code so the operator's computer can retrieve it. That code is deleted the moment it is retrieved, and in all cases expires within 15 minutes. The relay never receives or stores access tokens, profile data, post data, or passwords.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies, embeds no third-party scripts, and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. It loads no external resources of any kind — fonts, styles and images are all served from this same origin. Nothing on it profiles visitors.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. No advertising, no data brokers, no model training. Data is exchanged only between the operator's computer and the platform's official API. An operator can see the analytics and earnings of accounts connected to their campaigns — that is the purpose of connecting.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept until the account is disconnected or the operator deletes it. Removing an account deletes its stored profile, posts, snapshots, and tokens from the computer immediately. Anyone whose account was connected may request deletion directly — see Data deletion.

Revoking access

You can revoke The Clip Farm's access at any time, yourself, without asking the operator:

  • TikTok — Profile → Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Apps and services, and remove The Clip Farm.
  • Instagram — Settings → Website permissions / Apps and websites, and remove The Clip Farm.

Revoking immediately stops all future data access.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data held about you, and to object to its processing. Exercise any of them by emailing hello@theclipfarm.com; we will respond within 30 days.

Children

The Clip Farm is not directed to anyone under 13, and is intended for use by people old enough to hold an account on the relevant platform.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where we can, tell affected users directly.
