Someone sent you an invite. Here is exactly what it does.
Short version: it lets whoever is running your campaign read the public performance numbers on your posts, so they can work out what you are owed without you screenshotting anything.
What it can do
- Read your username, display name, profile picture and public counts
- Read your posts: caption, thumbnail, link, post time, duration
- Read public performance numbers on those posts — views, likes, comments, shares, and where the platform provides them, saves and reach
What it cannot do
- Post, edit or delete anything on your account
- Read, send or see your direct messages
- Follow, unfollow, like or comment as you
- See your password — you log in on the platform's own site, not ours
- See anything from an account you have not connected
Connecting, step by step
Open the invite link
It is personal to you and it expires. If it has gone stale, ask for a fresh one rather than reusing an old link.
Read the consent screen
The platform shows you every permission requested before you agree to anything. If something on that screen is not on the "what it can do" list, do not approve it — tell the operator.
Approve
You land on a confirmation page and you are done. Your posts start being measured against the field's rules automatically.
Instagram specifics. Only Business or Creator accounts can connect — personal Instagram accounts cannot, on Meta's side, not ours. If you were also sent a tester invite, it has to be accepted in a desktop browser at instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/ under "Tester invites" — that tab does not appear in the Instagram mobile app. Accepting a tester invite is a prerequisite, not the connection itself: you still need to open the invite link afterwards.
Leaving the farm
You do not need the operator's permission, and you do not need to ask us. Revoking takes effect immediately and stops all future access.
TikTok
Profile → Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Apps and services → remove The Clip Farm.
Settings → Website permissions / Apps and websites → remove The Clip Farm.
Revoking stops anything new being read. To also have data already collected about you deleted, use the data deletion request page or email hello@theclipfarm.com.
Questions growers actually ask
Will you see my drafts or private posts?
No. Only posts that are already published and publicly visible are returned by the API.
Do you sell my data?
No. It is not sold, rented, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used to train models.
Does connecting affect my reach?
No. Reading statistics is a read-only operation on the platform's official API and has no effect on how your content is distributed.
Can the operator see my other clients' work?
They can see posts on any account you connect to them, which is the point of connecting. If you keep separate accounts for separate clients, connect only the relevant one.
Who decides what I get paid?
The operator does — The Clip Farm calculates from the rules they configured. It does not hold or move money. Rates and terms are an agreement between you and them.
